Interim Financial Controller

Interim Financial Controller | £75,000 | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 WFH) | Manchester City Centre | 6-Month Contract (Potential to Go Permanent)

We're working with a high-growth multinational business headquartered in the heart of Manchester City Centre, who are looking for an ACA-qualified Interim Financial Controller to join their team for an initial 6-month period. For the right candidate, this could develop into a permanent opportunity.
This is an ideal opportunity for a first or second mover from audit looking to make a commercial impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You'll be working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key role in ensuring robust financial governance during a period of change and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial information
• 
  Preparation and review of statutory accounts in line with IFRS and group accounting policies
• 
  Liaising with external auditors and managing the year-end audit process
• 
  Review and enhance internal controls and financial processes
• 
  Provide technical accounting guidance across the group, including on new standards and complex transactions
• 
  Partnering with FP&A to support budgeting and forecasting processes
• 
  Support integration and process alignment projects across international entities
• 
  Lead on balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
• 
  Work closely with the Group Finance Director and CFO on ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 
  ACA qualified from a Top 10 audit firm
• 
  Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS essential)
• 
  Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• 
  Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across different functions and geographies
• 
  Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
• 
  Hands-on and adaptable, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach

Contract Details:

  Location: Manchester City Centre

  Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
•

  Salary: Up to £75,000 (pro-rata)
