Interim Financial Controller

Robert Walters are delighted to be partnering with a growing SME based in South Manchester as they look to appoint an experienced Financial Controller for 6 months on either an FTC or Day rate. The role is Hybrid - 1-2 days in the office Vs WFH.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage day-to-day finance operations across select group subsidiaries
* Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with UK and international accounting standards.
* Take ownership of the annual budget process and forecasting.
* Provide strategic financial partnership to business unit leaders, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
* Direct and manage the audit process for all group entities and review financial statements.
* Lead and develop a diverse finance team, providing technical accounting support and mentoring.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, liaising with auditors, tax professionals, and service providers.
* Enhance group reporting structures and improve cash flow reporting.

Successful Candidate Profile
* ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualified.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Finance & Accounting leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, and audit processes.
* Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial control in a fast-paced environment.
* Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
* Commercially aware and able to influence senior stakeholders.
* Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
