Interim Financial Controller - 6-Month Contract
Location: Portsmouth & Surrounding Areas

Day Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35 or FTC considered)

We are partnering with a growing group that is undergoing an exciting period of transformation following a series of acquisitions. They are seeking a hands-on Interim Financial Controller to support the integration of newly acquired businesses into the group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting for the newly acquired entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with group standards.
• Act as a strategic business partner to operational and leadership teams, helping embed commercial finance insight.
• Prepare businesses for system migration to the group-wide platform, ensuring readiness and minimal disruption.
• Assess, reshape, and support local finance teams—this could involve streamlining structures or adding key hires.
• Contribute to broader finance structure optimisation across the group, aligning people, processes, and platforms.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Accountant and available to commence assignment early August 2025
• Proven track record as an interim or project-based Financial Controller, ideally in a group or multi-entity environment.
• Experience with post-acquisition integration, including systems, processes, and team set-up.
• A pragmatic, hands-on operator with the ability to balance detail with big-picture thinking.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
