Vacancy: Interim Financial Controller - Manufacturing Sector (Hull)

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum

Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Hull, is seeking a highly skilled Interim Financial Controller to lead their finance team and ensure robust statutory accounting and financial reporting during a critical period of transition.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong finance professional with proven leadership experience in a large, complex business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional development.

• Oversee all aspects of statutory accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and deadlines.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Drive improvements in financial controls, processes, and systems.

• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.

• Provide financial insight and support to senior stakeholders.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to Group Finance.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.

• Lead on technical accounting matters including IFRS compliance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

• Extensive experience in statutory accounting and technical financial reporting - essential.

• Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams - essential.

• Experience within a large manufacturing or industrial business - highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Additional Information:

• This is an interim role for an initial period of 6 months, with potential for extension.

• Hybrid working may be considered, but regular presence on-site in Hull is required.
