Interim Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller (6-Month contract)
Location: North West
Salary: £400 - 600 per day

Overview:
We're partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed business to appoint an experienced Financial Controller for a 6-month temporary contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically astute finance professional to step into a key leadership role, driving financial control, reporting, and compliance during a crucial period of growth and transformation.

Working directly with the CFO, you'll lead the finance function across the business, embedding scalable processes, improving reporting accuracy, and guiding decision-making through insightful analysis.

The Role:
As Financial Controller, you'll:

• Own the production of monthly group management accounts and MI packs

• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting

• Approve payroll and bonus accruals

• Manage VAT, Corporation Tax, P11D and PSA submissions

• Produce statutory accounts and coordinate the audit process

• File statutory reports with Companies House

• Provide ad-hoc analysis and financial insights to senior stakeholders

• Lead and support a small team of finance professionals

About You:
You'll be a proactive, hands-on financial leader with the ability to embed best practices and drive transformation across the finance function.

• ACA / ACCA qualified

• Strong financial reporting experience

• In-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance

• Commercially minded, with excellent attention to detail

• Confident communicator and team leader

• Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
