Are you a commercially astute finance professional with experience leading an established finance function within a manufacturing SME?

As Financial Controller, you’ll lead the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance, driving performance, and supporting strategic growth. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, providing insights that shape the future of the business.

What We’re Looking For

• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
• Background in SME manufacturing is essential
• Operational experience with SAP is a essential
• High IT literacy and strong analytical skills
• Process-driven mindset and critical thinking ability
• Not afraid to push back and manage up.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance

• Oversee all accounting functions and statutory obligations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reports
• Lead year-end processes and liaise with external accountants
• Supervise and develop the accounts team
• Manage tax claims and balance sheet reconciliations

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop credit control strategies and manage cash flow
• Lead budgeting and forecasting aligned with 5 year goals
• Represent Finance on the Senior Leadership Team
• Provide financial insights and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and mitigate risks

Systems & Process Improvement

• Champion ERP and business process enhancements
• Drive operational efficiency through effective controls
