Job Title: Interim Financial Modeler

Location: East Mids - Hybrid / Remote

Rate: Circa £600 per day outside IR35

Contract: 6 Months+

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Interim Financial Modeler for a six-month contract to support strategic planning, investment appraisal, and business case development within a complex and fast-paced organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional with advanced modelling skills to make a tangible impact on key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, develop, and maintain robust and flexible financial models to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and business case development.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to inform planning and risk management.
• Work closely with senior finance, commercial, and operational stakeholders to ensure models are aligned with business objectives.
• Review and improve existing models for accuracy, usability, and efficiency.
• Provide modelling support during strategic reviews, M&A activity, or transformation programmes.

Ideal Candidate:

• Significant experience in financial modelling within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with modelling tools such as Power BI or financial modelling software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, investment appraisal, and business performance metrics.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
