Interim Group Financial Controller

The new structure is live.
Now the real work begins.
They've pressed "go" on the tech, but what they need now is someone who can look at what's actually been built - the processes, the reporting flows, the controls - and sort the stuff that isn't quite working (you know, the bits they said were "fine" during UAT).
This is not a BAU-only gig. But you'll need to handle BAU too. Because while you're reviewing controls, tightening processes, and building out best practice - someone still has to deliver the 2-day close, manage the team, and keep the Group CFO sane.
What you'll actually be doing:
-Leading the accounting team (and yes, they'll want answers before coffee some mornings)
-Reviewing and improving post-implementation systems, controls, and reporting flows
-Getting month-end nailed. Fast. Clean. No excuses.
-Owning Group reporting, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting
-Partnering with commercial finance like a grown-up
-Steering year-end, audits, tax packs, and all the usual FC-level heavy lifting
-Supporting process training across the business (because not everyone's as finance-fluent as you)
You'll need to:
-Be a qualified accountant with scars from similar interim gigs
-Know how to lead a team through change without breaking them
-Be confident spotting broken processes and fixing them without fanfare
-Have experience with systems rollouts, Business Central ideally
-Understand how to balance the urgent and the important
-Actually like cleaning up messy finance functions (some people do - weirdly)

This isn't for someone waiting for the dust to settle. You'll be in the dust, sleeves rolled up, making sure the thing works while keeping everything else moving.
It's a big role. But you'll have the mandate, the CFO's backing, and enough autonomy to make a difference.
