Interim Group Financial Controller

Cedar is partnered with a leading, PE-backed Tech provider to recruit an Interim Group Financial Controller based in Central London. This is an interim assignment offering a competitive daily rate (Outside of IR35)

The Interim Role

As Interim Group Financial Controller, you will:

• Oversee preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial statements, working papers, and balance sheet reconciliations under UK GAAP.
• Lead cash flow management, treasury, and working capital optimisation initiatives.
• Manage financial control frameworks, external audit coordination, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise transactional finance teams (AP, AR, payroll) and drive automation across financial operations.
• Champion finance digital transformation, including system enhancements and process simplification
• Support project accounting, reporting, and post-acquisition integrations.
• Mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.

Your Profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with extensive experience in financial control and operations.
• Track record in technology or SaaS environments, ideally within PE/VC-backed businesses.
• Strong expertise in UK GAAP, audit, and tax compliance.
• Proven ability to implement finance systems and drive process improvements.
