Interim Head of Digital and AI Programme

Morgan Hunt are working with a large public sector organisation in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Head of Digital and AI Programme Manager. The key feature of this role is to be the focal point for setting up and ensuring the successful delivery of internal digital and AI projects.

£700 Per Day Inside IR35

Birmingham based office - Hybrid working

SC clearance required (client will fund this)

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Setup and Leadership:

• Establish and lead the Digital and AI Programme
• Develop and implement a roadmap for digital transformation and AI integration
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Project and Product Delivery:

• Oversee the delivery of internal digital and AI projects
• Manage a portfolio of projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve programme objectives.
• Implement robust project management methodologies

Innovation and Collaboration:

• Identify and evaluate emerging digital and AI technologies that can be leveraged to enhance internal operations.
• Lead initiatives to pilot and scale new technologies, ensuring they meet the needs of internal stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior stakeholders, department heads, and tech experts.
• Communicate the vision, goals, and progress of the programme to internal audiences.
• Represent the programme at high-level meetings, conferences, and internal forums.

Team Development and Management:

• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in leading large-scale digital transformation and AI programmes
• Strong understanding of digital technologies, AI, and data analytics
• Excellent project management skills
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
