Interim Head of Finance

Interim Head of Finance - Luxury Retail | £100M Turnover | 6-Month Contract

Morgan McKinley working with a high-growth luxury retail brand to appoint an Interim Head of Finance on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on leadership role with oversight across financial operations, reporting, and planning. Day rate: £400-£500 (Inside IR35), depending on experience.

As Interim Head of Finance, you'll lead day-to-day financial management while supporting senior leadership with strategic planning and decision-making. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this role is well-suited to someone who can operate across both operational finance and commercial planning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight of month-end close and production of management accounts

• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles

• Cashflow management and reporting

• Support year-end audit process and liaise with external advisors

• Partner with operations and supply chain to improve financial planning around stock and inventory

• Review and improve finance processes and controls

• Provide clear financial insight and recommendations to senior leadership

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

• Strong experience in finance leadership within a product-based or retail business

• Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end finance operations in a fast-paced environment

• Confident in cashflow forecasting, management reporting, and budgeting

• Experience working cross-functionally with supply chain and commercial teams

• Hands-on, solutions-focused approach with strong communication skills

• Experience with ERP systems

• Background in high-growth or founder-led businesses
