Description

• Oversee financial reporting and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
• Supervise the preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements.
• Lead and support the financial accounting team in daily operations.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
• Preparing and submitting internal and external periodic financial reporting to stakeholders
• Preparing periodic VAT returns and management of the relationship with HMRC
• Supporting the preparation of Corporation and Deferred Tax calculations - on a periodic basis
• Providing board and management accounts information and variance analysis - on balance sheet, cash flow and debtor movements

Profile

A successful Interim Head of Financial Accounting should have:

• Professional qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation.
• Knowledge of regulatory and tax compliance within the UK.
• Proven leadership skills in managing accounting teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Job Offer

• Competitive daily rate of approximately £450 - £600 per day
