Interim Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead – East Midlands – £100,000 to £130,000 / Day Rate Considered – 6-Month Contract

Ready to build something from the ground up? We’re looking for a high-impact Interim FP&A professional to join a business in the East Midlands that’s undergoing significant transformation. This is a key role where you’ll be tasked with developing the FP&A function and embedding it into the heart of the business.

Let’s be honest – right now, there is very little management information going out to the operational teams. Budgeting processes need to be developed. MI reporting is minimal to non-existent at the moment. But with your expertise, that’s all about to change.

You’ll need to be confident walking into an environment that’s mid-transformation and still finding its feet. The task? Identify what’s broken, what’s missing, and what’s worth fixing – then set up robust, meaningful processes that give the business clarity and control.

Working closely with finance and operations, you’ll develop reporting packs, budgeting frameworks, forecasting models, and dashboards – all while educating and supporting operational leaders to use the numbers to drive smarter decisions.

The essentials:

• 6-month contract, with potential to extend

• Up to £130,000 salary or strong day rate

• Based in Leicestershire (with some flexibility)

• Create a functional FP&A function

• Build out budgeting, forecasting & MI processes

• Support broader finance transformation

• Work closely with operations and senior finance
