Interim IFRS Transformation Project

Your new company
A leading South West business undergoing significant finance transformation is looking for 2 interim contractors for a minimum of 6 months to help support key change initiatives.

Your new role
This plays a privotal role in driving operational improvements, helping to develop a best-in-class finance function whilst ensuring finance standards are maintained whilst a number of critical projects are delivered. The roles will include:

• Leading on a number of workstreams, sitting as part of the finance transformation team, helping to develop processes used by the lease accounting team (IFRS 16) utilising the newly implemented Oracle systems.
• Act as a key stakeholder across finance, IT and project teams whilst reporting to the SLT and reporting on progress and key project milestones.
• Help develop process maps to be used by the finance team.
• Support systems and reporting improvements whilst ensuring compliance with audit and accounting standards.
• Make recommendations on best practice, identifying the most efficient and effective ways of working.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant and the ideal profile would be someone that has experience in project / finance transformation in large complex businesses. You should have working knowledge of IFRS 16 but be a confident communicator with the ability to influence and manage key stakeholders. You should be able to take a hands-on approach and be able to deliver projects to tight deadlines and timescales. We are looking for someone to start ASAP but could consider someone on 1 or 2 weeks' notice.
