Interim IT Finance Consultant

Grafton Banks Finance is working with a global insurer to recruit an interim IT Finance Consultant to join the business for the next 6-12 months to manage the delivery of a key transformation project.

This interim role expert financial transformation services, to deliver a project to build and improve the capabilities, reporting and commercial insights of all IT cost centres including projects and operating costs.

We are looking for a senior interim finance professional who is an experienced partner to IT and Technology teams and has ideally developed business partnering models with IT leadership and has a strong record of implementing processes and controls in this area. Experience in insurance or financial services would be advantageous.

Key deliverables to design and implement:

• Clear and transparent cost budgeting. Service & value drivers clearly linked to fixed and variable cost base.
• Monthly cost tracking established against last year and budget with KPI’s designed, implemented and embedded linked to cost and value drivers
• Implementation of revised cost analysis structure to ensure data capture is improved for 2026 reporting
• Accruals and prepayment IFRS process established and embedded, controlled and monitored across finance and IT leadership
• Establishment of Finance Business partner model into the IT leadership team and how this contributes value in manging risk and cost control.

This role will be remote working with monthly travel to Munich. German language skills would be a distinct advantage but aren’t essential. This role is outside IR35 paying circa £850per day. We are looking for someone to start work in the next 4 weeks.
