Job: Interim Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner (3 Months)

Location: Harlow, Essex

Salary: £250-£350 per day

Length of contract: 3 Months

My client is seeking an immediately available and highly experienced Interim Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a 3-month basis. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, work independently, and add immediate value in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver end-to-end month-end reporting, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts with variance analysis
• Support project accounting, WIP reviews, and cost tracking across multiple live contracts
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and ensure robust financial controls
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insight and support
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting as needed

Ideal Candidate:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified OR Qualified By Experience
• Strong background in management accounting, ideally in construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries
• Proven ability to pick things up quickly and work autonomously
• Solid Excel and ERP system experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercial environment
• Available to start at short notice

The client is offering hybrid work (3 days in office) and £250-£350 per day depending on experience.
