Interim Management / Financial Accountant

Your new company
A well-established national construction company based in North Manchester is seeking an experienced accountant to join their finance team for 3 months whilst they recruit a permanent replacement.

Your new role
In your new role you'll be supporting the Finance Director with adhoc projects whilst taking full ownership of the Financial and Management Accounts. You will have full control of the P&L whilst providing commercial support to Senior Stakeholders - finance and non-finance. This role involves preparing monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and bank reconciliations. It also includes creating key documents like income statements and financial summaries.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (QBE will also be considered) and have previous experience in a similar role. The client has stated that due to the urgency of the role, you will need to be available to start within 2 weeks. Construction property would be preferred and an advantage, but not a requirement. You'll be responsible for tracking the company's financial performance, spotting any issues, and suggesting ways to improve. You'll also support management by explaining financial information in a clear and helpful way.

What you'll get in return
You'll receive a daily rate of up to £375 per day whilst joining a well-established business that offers immediate exposure, with excellent prospects for personal/career progression and development. Due to the importance, you will be required to be on site full time during the handover. After this, there will be more flexibility.
