Hybrid / Tadcaster
9-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Are you a payroll expert with a passion for detail and a knack for optimising systems? Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a Tadcaster-based client to recruit a Payroll & Benefits Specialist on a 9-month fixed-term contract, to commence ASAP.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of a real-time payroll for c.850 employees, manage a comprehensive benefits offering, and take ownership of HR data and reporting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth payroll operations while helping optimise a newly implemented HR & Payroll system.

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will:

  • Manage the full payroll process from input to post-payroll tasks and reconciliation
  • Work closely with external payroll providers and internal finance teams
  • Handle statutory reporting including P11Ds, P60s, and pension contributions
  • Take ownership of our newly implemented HR & Payroll system; drive improvements, troubleshoot issues, and support colleagues across the business
  • Lead benefits administration including Private Medical, Income Protection, Life Assurance, and more
  • Produce insightful HR data and KPI reports to support strategic decisions
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and GDPR at all times

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Proven experience in a similar payroll-focused role
  • In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, and pensions (including auto-enrolment)
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS/payroll systems and managing third-party providers
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or standalone payroll environment
  • Experience implementing or optimising payroll/HR systems desirable
  • Exposure to payrolling benefits beneficial
