• £550+ p/d (Inside IR35)
• 2-3 days a week on site

About the client

Morgan Law is seeking an interim Principal Accountant for a Local Authority in the London area to work with the Chief Accountant to get the accounts finalised.

Accountabilities

• Closure of accounts Excel model (advanced spreadsheet skills)
• Collection fund accounts
• Capital financing and fixed asset experience
• Preparation of statement of accounts
• Experience with liaison with external auditors

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to work autonomously

• Qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) (E)
• At least 5 years experience as a Closure Accountant in a local authority setting and a deep knowledge of statutory accounting requirements (E)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Immediately available for work
