We are supporting a fast-growing UK manufacturer in their search for an Interim Production Manager. 

This is a hands-on, high-impact assignment where you’ll take ownership of daily production performance , from machine shop and sub-assemblies through to final assembly and dispatch. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent output, while leading and developing a motivated production team.

The role is ideal for an experienced production leader who thrives on bringing structure, pace, and control to factory operations, and who can step into a scaling environment to deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Operations Leadership – Oversee production lines and sub-assemblies, ensuring schedules are met with minimal downtime and rework.
  

• Team Management – Lead and support production operators and team leaders across shifts, setting expectations and driving a culture of safety, accountability, and improvement.
  

• Production Control – Ensure compliance with technical specifications, SOPs, and quality standards while minimising scrap and non-conformance.
  

• H&S Compliance – Enforce strict adherence to health & safety policies and training requirements, ensuring incident reporting and risk management.
  

• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Planning, Procurement, and Materials Control to ensure availability of resources and achievable lead times.
  

• Continuous Improvement – Identify and implement short-term efficiency gains and lay the groundwork for long-term process improvements.
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Proven Production Manager experience in manufacturing

• Strong people leadership skills with a track record of managing shop-floor teams

• Knowledge of production scheduling, machine shop operations, and factory control processes.

• ERP-driven production environment experience.

• Calm, decisive, and pragmatic under pressure — with the ability to deliver results fast.
