Interim Project Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting an Interim Project Accountant for a growing, global business near Haywards Heath/hybrid working. The role will last for around 3-6 months, (ongoing) and requires someone with confident reconciliations and systems experience to help with the integration of acquired businesses into the group company. Candidates will need to be based fairly locally to commute to th eoffices 2-3 days per week.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Integration Support: Assist in the integration of newly acquired entity and ongoing integration of another European entity into the central finance team, moving away from local administrative processes.
• Process Documentation: Develop and document finance processes, workflows, and best practices that align with existing Europe-wide financial processes, ensuring consistency across all entities.
• Month-End Close Support: Actively participate in month-end close activities, ensuring accounting entries are made accurately, and accounts (AP/AR/ICO/Banks, etc.) are reconciled in line with company timelines.
• Timetable Adherence: Ensure compliance with central finance timetables, managing deadlines effectively to support efficient and timely reporting.
• Accounting Support: Assist in general accounting tasks, including reviewing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring proper accounting treatment of transactions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments and local market teams to ensure smooth integration and adherence to standard financial processes.
• Problem Solving: Independently identify issues, work on solutions, and take ownership of resolving challenges that arise during the integration process.

Candidates need to be available at short notice and able to commit to the entire project to apply.
