Interim School Finance Officer

A vibrant and inclusive educational institution based in South Birmingham, B11 who are dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences for all pupils is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated interim Finance Officer to join their team and help provide exceptional financial management and administrative support that meets the diverse needs of our school community.

Your new role

This is an exciting moment to join their team, as the school was recently judged as Good by Ofsted. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the financial operations and overall efficiency of our school. They are seeking someone with the dedication, vision, and drive to support financial leadership and provide the school with expertise and development opportunities in financial management and administration.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience with computerised general ledger and financial management systems.
• Experience in budgeting and budgetary control at an appropriate level.
• Excellent standard of numeracy and accuracy with figures.
• Ability to converse at ease with parents/pupils and members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly spreadsheets and databases (Excel and Access).
• Ability to work as part of a team and in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Discretion in handling confidential matters.
• Suitable standard of education, particularly in numeracy and literacy.
