What you'll do:

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play an integral role in supporting this organisation's ambitious expansion plans. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex financial tasks such as preparing for audits, reconciling balance sheets across multiple entities, compiling trial balances, and producing detailed schedules for both internal stakeholders and external auditors. You will also be instrumental in overseeing the accounting for new site launches and development projects-ensuring every transaction is captured accurately from start to finish. With the introduction of a new ERP system on the horizon, your expertise will be vital in guiding data migration efforts and optimising financial processes. Working collaboratively within a close-knit finance team, you will help drive best practices while contributing valuable insights that inform strategic decisions during this period of significant growth. Your ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively with colleagues across departments, and maintain meticulous attention to detail will ensure your success in this rewarding position.

• Take ownership of meeting audit deadlines by preparing accurate financial statements and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with relevant standards.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining accuracy across multiple entities within the group and identifying any discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare trial balances and pull together comprehensive schedules to support both internal reporting requirements and external audits.
• Oversee the accounting processes for new sites and developments, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately from inception through to completion.
• Support the implementation of a new ERP system by providing expert input on data migration, process improvements, and system testing.
• Assist with consolidation activities across multiple business units, ensuring timely and accurate group reporting.
• Collaborate closely with other members of the finance team to share knowledge, resolve queries, and ensure best practices are followed throughout all accounting processes.
• Work alongside operational teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making during periods of rapid growth and change.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting standards relevant to the hospitality, real estate, or retail sectors.
