Interim Senior Legal Counsel

This is a fixed term contract position for an Interim Senior Legal Counsel to join a well established business who are a market leader in their industry.

Description

The Interim Senior Legal Counsel position will involve the following tasks:

• Work closely with senior stakeholders in a range of business units and corporate support departments to help influence and implement business strategy and direction.
• Review, draft and negotiate high-value, complex commercial contracts with customers, sales intermediaries, and other key business partners.
• Support operational and commercial functions with day-to-day legal queries and issues.
• Supporting on projects that underpin the business's key objectives across multiple disciplines.
• Assist in maintaining the team's templates, precedents and other know-how materials.
• Provide practical solutions to complex legal problems in the manner of an experienced business partner.
• Procure and manage external specialist counsel (as required)
• Support the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Group Legal Director and other senior lawyers as required, both in the UK and internationally.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Interim Senior Legal Counsel position will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Be a qualified solicitor
• Have 8+ years PQE
• Have experience of working closely with non-legal stakeholders
• Have strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Be able to support on M&A projects as required
• Be able to manage changing priorities and deadlines

Job Offer

This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

Hybrid working is available- 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
