Internal Audit Assistant Manager - 12M FTC

Are you an experienced internal auditor looking to take ownership of meaningful projects in a values-led organisation? We're supporting a highly respected Milton Keynes based organisation in their search for an Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join their team on a 12 Month FTC

In this role, you'll contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and risk management practices across a varied and evolving organisation. This is a hands-on audit role that offers a genuine opportunity to influence business operations and engage with senior stakeholders.

• Plan and deliver risk-based internal audits across operational, financial, and compliance areas.
• Collaborate with departments to identify control weaknesses and agree pragmatic actions.
• Own and develop internal self-assessment and compliance reporting processes.
• Maintain audit records, monitor follow-up actions, and support external audit activity where required.
• Promote best practices in governance, risk, and assurance across the organisation.

• A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or IIA.
• Strong experience delivering internal audit assignments independently.
• Practical knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with audit software.
• An inquisitive mindset, with the confidence to engage stakeholders and drive improvement.
