Reading Intervention - Unqualified Teacher

We're working on with a fantastic specialist school based in Shifnal, currently looking to appoint an Unqualified Intervention Tutor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about improving literacy and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

You'll play a crucial role in identifying students in need of additional reading support and delivering structured, effective interventions that make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct reading assessments and monitor ongoing student progress
- Deliver engaging, tailored literacy interventions
- Analyse data to identify students requiring support based on EHCPs and academic progress
- Report on individual and cohort progress to senior leadership, parents, and governors
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a therapeutic and trauma-informed environment
- Contribute to the overall ethos and continuous improvement of the school

What You'll Need
- A teaching qualification or equivalent training in literacy intervention (formal QTS not required)
- Confidence in managing behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- A passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable young people
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to whole-school development
