We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role IRR PRA Business Analyst.
About the role:
This role sits within the Integrity Regulatory Reporting Programme as part of the Wholesale Credit Risk function, focusing on a significant Large Exposures regulatory reporting initiative. The successful candidate will support the rollout of a new reporting solution for PRA-regulated entities, with plans to extend the solution to additional markets. The role is likely to cover international jurisdictions such as Hong Kong or Paris and will require close collaboration across Risk and Finance teams. We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong data analysis experience to support the implementation, including sourcing and querying data, establishing end-to-end data lineage, identifying and fixing data issues, writing scripts, and performing detailed analysis to define clear and robust business and regulatory requirements.
Experience / Skill set:
Knowledge of Wholesale Banking business and Wholesale Credit Risk
Strong data analysis skills
Understanding of the regulatory framework globally
A thorough understanding of the purpose, values, culture and fundamentals of Global Transformation
Very strong knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc.
Advanced Business analysis, requirements gathering and design techniques
Advanced Change management and implementation management techniques and approaches
Experience
Exposure to Risk Management concepts, ideally Wholesale Credit Risk and Regulatory Reporting
Familiarity with counterparty data structures (entity resolution, aggregation)
Familiarity with credit risk mitigation techniques (collateral haircuts, indirect exposure)
Familiarity with the Standardised Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk (SA-CCR) and Large Exposure Reporting framework will be advantageous
Proven track record as an outstanding analyst or consultant
Experience with data analysis in enterprise-size databases (SQL, Python)
Solid experience with data analysis in SQL
Experience with Finance and Risk data stores
Formal communication skills in an analytical context: data flows, data models, documentation of complex calculations
Experience in data reconciliation and validation, ideally in a Finance function
Agile project delivery experience
Extensive experience of using multiple analysis techniques in a change environment, with a mix of business, operations and technology focused projects
Strong experience of delivering change into different audiences and managing implementation in banking environments
Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills
Excellent decision making and problem-solving ability
Advanced judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems
Experience of working with teams located remotely
Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
