Deerfoot IT Recruitment is assisting a leading global financial services organisation in the search for an experienced IT Project Manager to join the CISO function on a contract basis.

This is a broad IT delivery role within the Chief Information Security Office (CISO), but does not require deep cybersecurity expertise. The successful candidate will manage a variety of technology-related projects, working closely with internal teams in London and coordinating alignment with the Head Office in Tokyo. As such, fluency in Japanese is essential, both spoken and written.

• Manage the delivery of IT and business-aligned projects from planning through to implementation.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

• Support the alignment of the UK-based Centre of Excellence with the Head Office structure in Japan.

• Produce and maintain core project artefacts including schedules, status reports, risk logs, and stakeholder communications.

• Liaise across infrastructure, operations, and risk teams to ensure consistent project execution.

• Proven experience delivering IT or business change projects within large, complex environments (ideally financial services).

• Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

• Comfortable navigating cross-cultural and multi-lingual environments.

• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

• Fluency in Japanese (both written and spoken) is essential due to regular collaboration with Tokyo-based teams.

• Exposure to cybersecurity projects or teams is helpful but not essential.

• Experience coordinating with international offices or global teams.

• Knowledge of project delivery frameworks (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
