IT Security and Vulnerability Management Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Consultant specialising in vulnerability management to lead and enhance our practices.

Join our global UK Infrastructure Platforms team within IT Production Services (ITS), providing platform and infrastructure management across 1000+ systems for the Global Markets Division’s front office electronic trading systems. This role is crucial for managing the application infrastructure of Corporate and Electronic Trading applications and providing first-line support. We are seeking an experienced IT Security Consultant specialising in vulnerability management to lead and enhance our practices.

• Proven experience managing and running vulnerability management processes in large-scale, multinational environments.
• In-depth knowledge of CVSS, CVE, vulnerability scoring systems, and managing the life cycle of security assessments, threat identification, and mitigation.
• Strong experience in security assessments within complex enterprise environments and applying risk-based prioritization frameworks to guide remediation efforts.
• Background in IT methodology (preferably ITIL), Information System Security, and Project Management Methodologies.
• Experience with vulnerability obsolescence and management and resolution tools, particularly Tenable and Flexera.
• Background in RedHat Linux, Microsoft Windows including WSUS and GPO management.
• Specialist training in ITIL, Lean Management Methodology or equivalent is beneficial.

• Identification, prioritization, remediation, and reporting of security risks.
• Apply technical security vulnerability remediation practices.
• Work with counterparts in other locations to offer seamless follow-the-sun support, managing global technical issues in remote locations during core hours.
• Ensure proper monitoring and capacity planning of local systems as part of the global framework.
• Resolve issues on the local eBusiness infrastructure hub.
