IT Technician

IT TECHNICIAN – (INITALLY 3-MONTH CONTRACT)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Broxburn

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Technician to join our client on a fixed-term basis to support critical business priorities and provide coverage for the existing post-holder. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to contribute to business transformation while documenting and improving systems and procedures within a well-established organisation.

This is a 3-month contract role with an immediate start available, there may potentially be an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate.

As an IT Systems Support specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting ongoing IT and business system projects to meet priority deadlines

• Documenting current procedures and processes for continuity and efficiency

• Providing cover for the current IT role holder as needed

• Liaising with internal teams and external IT providers to ensure continuity and service quality

• Reporting and monitoring SLA and KPI performance for ICT service delivery

• Maintaining an IT asset map and register

• Assisting with IT policy updates and ensuring legal and security compliance

• Contributing to a strong health and safety culture across all IT practices

• Strong experience in IT systems support or similar roles

• Excellent documentation and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines

• Confident liaising with stakeholders and service providers

• Strong understanding of business IT infrastructure and service delivery

• Previous experience in project-based IT work or contract roles

• Familiarity with service agreements, system audits, and compliance documentation

• Knowledge of health and safety policies within IT environments

All successful candidates will receive a full onboarding session and access to existing system documentation. Ongoing support will be available throughout the contract to ensure successful project completion.
