Job Description - ITAM Administrator

Role Overview
We're looking for a meticulous and proactive IT Asset Management (ITAM) Administrator to support the full lifecycle of our client's IT hardware and software assets. Reporting to the IT Asset Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with external vendors. This position aligns with ITIL best practices and is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, detail-driven environment.
Responsibilities

  • Support & Service: Act as a point of contact for asset-related queries, resolving hardware and software incidents efficiently and professionally.
  • Lifecycle Management: Maintain and update systems that track the acquisition, deployment, usage, and retirement of IT assets.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with third-party providers to ensure timely delivery, maintenance, and disposal of IT equipment in line with contractual obligations.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all assets adhere to internal procurement policies and external licencing requirements.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Keep detailed records of all IT assets, including purchase history, licence details, and service agreements.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and execution of strategies that enhance asset utilisation and reduce risk.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to agreed processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in IT asset management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and SNOW platforms.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and how they apply to asset management (ITIL Certification is a bonus)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience working with inventory tracking tools and managing vendor relationships.

What you'll get in return

  • Initial 6-month contract
  • £200 - 250 p/d rate inside IR35 (via UMB)
  • Hybrid working available
