Janitor/ Caretaker

Position: Caretaker/Janitor
Location: Kilmarnock
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: £13 per hour
PVG Check: Valid PVG required

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Caretaker/Janitor to join our team in Kilmarnock. As a Caretaker/Janitor, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised environment for our clients premises. You will be responsible for general cleaning, maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all areas are properly looked after.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and maintaining various areas of the premises (offices, hallways, restrooms, etc.)

• Ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met

• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, and ensuring equipment is in working order

• Monitoring and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment

• Ensuring the security of the building, including locking up at the end of the shift

• Responding promptly to any urgent cleaning or maintenance issues

• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements:

• Valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate is required

• Previous experience in a caretaker or janitorial role is preferred but not essential

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented

• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
