Senior Java/AWS Developer - FTC £120K - Investment Banking

An investment bank is looking for a Senior Java developer to join the front-office trading team with a large-scale migration to AWS. You will be joining the team to help coach and mentor on AWS services/products and best practices.

The direction is simplification and re-engineering where appropriate over a lift-and-shift approach. This is a unique opportunity for you to add value to their strategy using your AWS expertise to help shape their trading, fixed-income and equity operations.

Fixed term contract salary: £120k + bonus

Duration of Fixed Term: 1year (potential to be 2years)

Location/Hybrid: X3 per week to the City of London (not negotiable)

Requirement:

• Must have senior experience in Java, using the latest versions (V17+)
• Strong and demonstrable experience with AWS (EKS, Fargate/RDS, EC2, Lambdas)
• Preferred experience supporting the migration of apps from on-prem to AWS
• Must have experience in Financial Services
• Experience in Trading / Investment / Fixed Income is highly desirable
