A forward-thinking, FCA-regulated financial services company based in Central London is seeking a Compliance Assistant to support its client onboarding and AML processes. Reporting to the Senior Compliance Officer (Outhouse Consultant), this role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is motivated to build a long-term career in financial compliance and regulation. The company specialises in protecting clients and maintaining the highest standards of regulatory integrity in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide AML (Anti-Money Laundering) guidance and advice during the client onboarding process
- Review, verify, and approve client documentation in line with internal compliance policies and current regulatory standards
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the firm's compliance and risk procedures
- Escalate high-risk matters or unusual activity to the Senior Compliance Officer as appropriate
- Assist with internal audits, record-keeping, and data analysis for compliance purposes
- Stay up to date with relevant AML legislation and compliance frameworks

Skills and Experience:

- A genuine interest in compliance, AML, and financial regulation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to assess documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing clear compliance guidance
- Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines in a regulated environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Prior experience in a financial or regulated environment is an advantage, but not essential
- Eagerness to grow within a compliance function and build a professional career in the sector
