Your Responsibilities as a KS1 Teacher:

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum

  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to support all learners

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage active participation

  • Support pupils with additional needs in collaboration with support staff

  • Maintain clear records of pupil progress and communicate with parents and colleagues

  • Contribute to the wider school life and development

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Recent classroom experience within Key Stage 1

  • Sound understanding of the KS1 national curriculum

  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices

  • Two references from the last 5 years (one must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)

Desired:

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply - support provided)
