Key Stage 3 SEN Teaching Assistant St Helens

Your new role
Our client, a secondary school in the St Helens area, is looking for an experienced, dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching assistant to work in their Key Stage 3 on a temporary full-time basis with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

Key duties will include but not limited to:

• Provide targeted support for students with SEN
• Foster positive relationships with pupils to encourage their engagement and independence
• Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions in line with school policy
• Help adapt lesson materials to meet students' needs
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working with children/young adults with SEN
• DBS
• Full right to work in the UK
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Proactive and flexible approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults
• Strong communication skills
