The Role
As a KS1 Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide tailored academic support to children aged 5–7. You will help deliver engaging lessons, provide 1-2-1 and small group interventions, and assist with phonics, reading, writing, and early numeracy. Your goal will be to help pupils achieve their milestones while building their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

This role is ideal for a graduate considering a career in primary teaching and looking to gain classroom-based experience prior to applying for their PGCE. You will need to be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about education. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting pupils are essential.
