Hays Education are currently recruiting for a
Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Weston-super-Mare. This is part-time maternity coverage starting in September 2025, working3 days per week with a Year 1 class. The role will run until Easter 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
You'll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, supporting pupils' early development in literacy, numeracy, and phonics. You'll work closely with teaching assistants and the SENCO to ensure all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching in KS1
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK
