Primary Teacher (Key Stage 2) - Maternity Cover

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, 1 Year (Maternity Cover)

Salary: MPS (Outer London Fringe) / £33,074 - £50,470 depending on experience

Suitable for: Qualified teachers required (Preferably no ECTs)

An Outstanding Primary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is seeking a passionate and committed Lower Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025 for a 1-year full-time maternity cover.

With just under 400 pupils, this vibrant and well-resourced school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team who work collaboratively to provide the best outcomes for all pupils.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience teaching in Lower Key Stage 2
• A strong understanding of and experience working with pupils with SEN
• A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
