Your cover teaching responsibilities:

• Mark and assess work taught from your day(s) of cover
• Record lesson development and outline pupil progress
• Guide and direct support staff and utilise the classroom teaching assistant
• Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
• Follow planning to continue a coherent learning journey
• Deliver lessons with enthusiasm!

Requirements of the cover teacher role:

• Relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE, QTS etc.)
• Grade C or above (or relevant equivalent) in GCSE English and Maths
• 2 references from the last 5 years
• Experience teaching in a UK primary school
• Job history that covers the last 10 years
• An in-date Enhanced DBS on the update service
