KS2 Teacher

Are you an experienced KS2 Teacher with a passion for supporting children through their crucial final years of primary education?

A Junior School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025, with a focus on Years 5 and 6. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Teach across Years 5 and 6, delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for KS2 SATs, including targeted revision and assessment strategies.
• Plan and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN.
• Simplify complex concepts to ensure accessibility and understanding for all pupils.
• Work collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to support individual and group learning.
• Conduct regular assessments, track progress, and use data to inform planning.
• Write detailed pupil reports and participate in parents' evenings.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6).
• Strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment frameworks.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
