Job Description - Lab Technician

Pertemps Reading are recruiting for a Lab Technician to work at a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory in Wokingham.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday | 09:00 – 17:00

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £13.30 per hour

As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for:

Perform a range of basic routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample preparation under supervision of a senior member of staff
Perform laboratory tasks following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures
Use of specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including calibration where required
Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results
Be competent in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role: Laboratory’s LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc

To be considered for this Lab Technician role, you should possess the following:

Educated to A / HNC level in a relevant scientific discipline
Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to follow written instructions
Able to perform repetitive work to high standards in high throughput environment
Flexible and adaptable in a workplace and enjoys the challenge to adapt to different teams and working environments
English fluency (written and spoken)
