Lab Technician - Derby

This Brigg Scientific client are a food testing laboratory in Derby and they are looking to add a Lab Technician to their testing team.

The role involves the following duties.

• Open samples we receive on a daily basis
• Log in samples through data entry onto our Laboratory Information Management System
• Microbiology testing
• ELIZA testing
• Aseptic Techniques
• Using the incubator
• Checking paperwork and sample integrity
• Sample storage management
• Laboratory housekeeping and consumables replenishment

No specific experience is required, but any kind of educational background in the Sciences, or a broad interest in the Science is encouraged.

They run two shift patterns.

Sunday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm

Tuesday to Saturday 2pm - 10pm.

Pay rate is £11.44/hr during an initial Temporary contract.
