Laboratory assistant

Burton on Trent

Role and key responsibilities for Laboratory assistant :

To maintain a clean and tidy work area,
Refilling reagent bottles before they are empty and preparing new reagent and standard solutions for instrumentation
To maintain adequate records of work done and results obtained, reporting the latter promptly and drawing attention to unexpected features to Management.
Cleaning and sterilizing equipment, preparing or storing samples for technicians

Minimum Requirements for Laboratory assistant :

Education: Minimum of GCSE in science (or equivalent), A level is an advantage
Experience: Lab experience is an advantage, though not required
Computer: Good in MS Office
Communication: Strong communication skills in English

Pay rate: £12.21 per hour

Working hours:
Monday to Friday
9am-5pm
2 x 30 minutes break (30 minutes paid)
