Laboratory Technician

Lab Technician role

I am currently recruiting for a laboratory technician in a food microbiology laboratory based in Grimsby
This a temporary role with a view to going permanent.

Hours:
2 week rotating shift pattern;

Week 1 - Mon 10:00 to 21:30, Tue & Wed OFF, Thurs & Fri 10:00 to 21:30, Sat & Sun OFF

Week 2 Mon OFF, Tues & Wed 10:00 to 21:00, Thurs and Fri OFF; Sat and Sun 10:00 to 21:00.

Pay Rate: £12.56

Key responsibilities:

Processing water microbiology samples for testing
Preparing and pouring agar media to plates
Washing laboratory equipment and general maintenance
Assist with stock and consumable management
To carry out all activities in accordance standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

No prior experience required
Experience in working in fast paced environments such as restaurants, warehouse or production operative roles
Please note that these roles are full time and include weekend work.
Candidates must have full eligibility to work in UK without restrictions.
