Lead Data Architect

LEAD DATA ARCHITECT, SC CLEARED, SENIOR DATA ARCHITECT, SC SECURITY CLEARANCE

My client, a leader in the public sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SC cleared Lead Data Architect. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data architecture solutions for customers, with a strong emphasis on Cloud technologies (Preferably AWS) and tooling. This role requires a deep understanding of data modelling, database design, and data integration techniques. The Lead Data Architect will work closely with various departments to ensure that data systems are aligned with business objectives and support the customer's strategic goals. Additionally, the candidate must possess strong conflict management skills to handle and resolve any issues that arise within the team or with stakeholders as well as a strong strategic thinker overseeing large projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential:

• Proven experience of delivering successful complex data migrations using cloud technologies.
• Proven experience of developing and maintaining data models, database designs (both operational and analytics), and data integration solutions.
• Proven experience of source to target mapping and leading data migration activities.
• Proven experience of designing and implementing scalable and robust data architectures.
• Proven experience of developing and maintaining documentation for data architecture, data models, and data integration processes. (Data Strategy / HLDs / LLDs)
• Ability to work closely with our partners informing the design of the target data model / platform configuration.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts / challenges within the team, suppliers and with stakeholders effectively and have solid problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ability to provide management, technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers / data architects and other team members.
• Ability to work with IT and other departments to ensure data systems are integrated and aligned with business processes.
• Ability to ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
• Ability to lead the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
• Ability to stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and data management and incorporate them into our solutions.

Desirable:

• Security Cleared or Eligible for Security Clearance.
• Understanding of AWS tooling,
• Certification in in AWS / Microsoft cloud platforms.
• GIS / Spatial awareness.
