??Contract Type: Initial 6-month contract with potential to go permanent

Hays is proud to be supporting a major transformation programme within a local council's Customer Services team. Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering complex programmes that drive real change? We're looking for a Lead Delivery Manager to join our clients' IT & Digital team and lead the delivery of high-impact digital transformation initiatives.
What You'll Do:

• Lead the delivery of complex, high-value programmes and projects (budgets exceeding £10m).
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams using agile and traditional methodologies.
• Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder relationships at a senior level.
• Champion best practices in programme and project delivery across the organisation.
• Coach and support delivery managers, fostering a high-performing delivery culture.
• Ensure successful transitions into service and continuous improvement of delivery practices.

What We're Looking For:

• Significant experience in programme and project delivery in both agile and waterfall environments.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale, multi-team programmes in complex organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including at senior levels.
• Expertise in financial management, procurement, and supplier engagement.
• A relevant degree or equivalent experience, plus certified programme practitioner status (e.g. Prince2, Agile).
