Remote with occasional onsite requirements in London and Reading

£600 - £700/day inside IR35

Lorien's Utilities client are currently recruiting for a Lead Identity Engineer Role to join on a 6 month initial contract, inside IR35.

Key responsibilities of the LeadIdentity Engineer role include:

• Design and Implementation: Develop, document and implement identity solutions using Active Directory and Entra ID, including Conditional Access, Device posture, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Single Sign-On (SSO). Identify best practice and experience of how to get a product deployed into an enterprise environment.
• Leadership: Proactively lead end-to-end execution of technical and handover activities related to an Identity infrastructure project.
• Management and Maintenance: Advise and update the day-to-day operations of Active Directory and Entra ID environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
• Integration: Integrate identity solutions with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve identity and access-related issues, providing technical support and guidance to internal teams.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that identity solutions meet security and compliance standards, implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units, to achieve project goals and deliverables.
• Innovation: Drive technical innovation and excellence within the identity management environment, evaluating and recommending tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and security.
• Operational process creation and handover: Identity operational processes and work with operational handover teams to deploy changes in to a production environment in a fully supported manner.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this Identity Engineer role, you will need:

• Proven architecture and design experience with Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) implementation and management. Other Identity Provider experience beneficial.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and security principles.
• Hands-on experience with Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO, Group Policy, Intune and related technologies.
• Knowledge of protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with identity governance and administration tools such as SailPoint or CyberArk.
• Experience of Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, OCI or AWS
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation using API's and infrastructure as code. (Terraform/Github)
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
