Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive both academically and emotionally? A caring and inclusive secondary school in Sutton is seeking a dedicated and motivated Learning Mentor to join our pastoral team this September.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who may be facing barriers to learning, including social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

• Working one-to-one and in small groups with students who need additional support.

• Helping students improve attendance, motivation, and engagement in learning.

• Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted role model.

• Supporting students in overcoming challenges both inside and outside the classroom.

• Collaborating with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to provide tailored interventions.

• Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or mentoring capacity.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.

• The ability to motivate and inspire students to make positive choices.

• A genuine passion for student wellbeing and development.
