About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant for a full-time maternity cover starting ASAP in Bradford. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting them academically, emotionally, and socially to ensure they can access the curriculum fully and achieve their best.

Requirements

  • Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Not essential)
  • Understanding of SEND and additional learning needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assisting in classroom delivery under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Supporting students with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with students who may need additional care and consistency.
  • Encouraging the development of independent learning skills.
  • Liaising with SENCOs and outside professionals where necessary.
  • Promoting positive behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Attending and contributing to training and CPD opportunities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across departments to support student learning.
  • Contributing to maintaining safeguarding and child protection protocols.
